Overview:Espace de regfuge serves to grow its inhabitants while itself grows in solidifying as a place of community and peace. Where life perspectives are rooted in time perspectives, and identities which come from temporality. This space of refuge creates an atmosphere where its inhabitants gain identity, embed a life in the spirit of this place, and orient themselves with the world. Between the dwelling units are nodes of common space, layered to foster community healing from individual to group. And so, the building becomes the phenomena of the people who make it, and holds a permanence with the ability to adapt over time. Meaning, direction, and permanence lie in the unifying order of the ultimately temporal character of the city, here we just uncover it.
